Overview

The definitive Sahara round-trip from Marrakech: the Tizi n'Tichka pass, the kasbah of Aït Ben Haddou, the Dades and Todra gorges, and a camel sunset and overnight camp at Erg Chebbi.

This is the journey most travellers picture when they think of the Moroccan Sahara. We cross the High Atlas over the Tizi n'Tichka pass (2,260m), pause at the UNESCO ksar of Aït Ben Haddou, and follow the road of a thousand kasbahs through the Dades valley to the dramatic cliffs of the Todra Gorge.

The centrepiece is Erg Chebbi: a sunset camel trek into towering dunes and a night at a Berber camp with dinner and music. After a sunrise over the sand, we return through Ouarzazate and back over the Atlas to Marrakech, a route rich enough to fill three full days.

Can I change the dates or itinerary?

Yes. Every itinerary is a starting point. Add a day, swap a riad, change the start city — we'll re-quote in 24 hours and lock the price in writing before any deposit.

How fit do I need to be?

Easy. Light walking on medina cobblestones, plus optional activities you can opt in or out of on the day.

When should I book?

For high season (Oct–Apr) and any trip involving the Sahara or an overnight desert camp, book 8–12 weeks ahead. Last-minute (under 14 days) is usually still possible with a phone call.
