Good to know

Practical notes

  • Three days is the most popular length — a real desert night with the gorges, without the marathon driving of the 2-day version.
  • A private 4x4 with driver-guide lets you stop for photos and adjust the pace; group minibuses are also available.
  • Bring layers, sunscreen and a head-scarf; nights in the dunes are genuinely cold.

Frequently asked

What does a 3-day Sahara desert tour from Marrakech include?

Typically Aït Ben Haddou, Ouarzazate, the Dadès and Todra gorges, a camel trek into the Erg Chebbi dunes at Merzouga and an overnight desert camp, then the return drive to Marrakech. Inclusions vary by camp standard, so we tailor each tour and quote it on request.

Is 3 days enough for the Sahara from Marrakech?

Yes — three days is the sweet spot. You get a full night in the dunes plus the two gorges and Aït Ben Haddou, without the heavy driving of a 2-day trip.
